ALMOST TWO years after gunmen shot dead popular Punjabi singer Shubhdeep Singh alias Sidhu Moosewala in Mansa district of Punjab, his parents Sunday welcomed a baby boy into the family.
2 yrs after Sidhu Moosewala killing Moosewala’s father Balkaur Singh, 60, made the announcement in a post on Facebook. “With the blessings of lakhs and crores of people who love Shubhdeep, the Almighty has blessed us with Shubh’s little brother,” Balkaur said in his post. “The family is healthy and I am grateful for the immense love of all well-wishers.”

The baby was delivered at Jindal Hospital in Bathinda.
Balkaur also shared an emotional video of his wife Charan Kaur, 58, from the hospital. He broke down as he said that he felt like Moosewala had returned as junior Shubhdeep.
Sources said Balkaur and his wife opted for IVF technique and had gone abroad for treatment last year. The family had at the time requested for privacy until the procedure was successful.

In the recent video, Balkaur held his son and smiled as the hospital staff gathered around him. Earlier, he had shared a photo with the infant. The picture also had a photo frame of Sidhu in the background. Balkaur, dressed in a blue shirt and denims, held the baby in his arms. A cake was also kept on a table near him.

What Balkaur had said about Charan’s pregnancy
Last week, Balkaur talked about the rumours going around his family and requested everyone not to believe them. Taking to his official Facebook account, he wrote a post in Punjabi, which read, “We are thankful to Sidhu’s fans who are concerned about our family. But we plead there are so many rumours going around about the family, they are not to be believed. Whatever news, the family will share with you all.”
Family sources confirmed to Tribune in February that Sidhu’s mother, Charan Kaur, underwent IVF (In vitro fertilisation) treatment and was successful in conceiving a baby, due in March. The report said Charan’s pregnancy was confirmed by Sidhu Moosewala’s uncle Chamkaur Singh.
